About us

We first came to Hvar in 2003, it was a little different back then but we immediately fell in love with the Island and so did our daughters, Maddie and Ollie.

Over 20 years later, the island is now our home.

In 2019 we found this house with a whole lot of character waiting to be snapped up. Previously owned by a famous local artist who was born on Hvar Island, this house had a story and we were excited to give this very old stone house a new lease of life whilst protecting its heritage. That's when the Mad Olive was born, 3 luxury rooms and one self-contained apartment - all different in their own way, restored with so much love and care.
